Need To De-Clutter Your Life?

Over the past week, I got a note in the mail sharing all the details for our neighborhood spring cleaning. I suppose it is that time of year again.

After the terribly long and frigid winter we experienced in the Western Hemisphere, the thought of spring anything is a welcomed antidote.

cleaning suppliesIt’s literally time to de-clutter and get organized. Which means it’s now time to take out the old wares and tools we once used, that now only take valuable space from what’s new.

It’s time to take out the trash.

It seems so simple to buy a new dining room table and give-away or dispose of the old reliable, but worn table. Yet, when it comes to applying the same exact principle in our lives we make it so difficult.

If the world could see your mental and emotional baggage, would you be a prime target for the next episode of “Hoarders“?

Maybe it’s time for a physical, mental and emotional spring cleaning.

Choose happiness over your clutter!
Choose happiness over your clutter!

That body detox you’ve been putting off…do it!
That physical trainer you’ve been dodging…hire him/her!
That question about life coaching you have…ask it!
That therapist’s number you were given…call it!
That sadness you’ve been letting marinate…release it! (Yep, cry it out!)
That person you know you should have forgiven by now…forgive them!

What better time then now?

What sense does it make to have a pristine home, when your physical, mental and emotion spaces are filled with useless clutter and trash?

As you make that mental or physical list for this year’s spring cleaning, don’t forget to jot down a few notes on how you plan to clean your most valuable commodity – YOU!

Happy Spring…I think. (Inside joke for my Chicago hometown readers.)
…and stay inspired, it’s a lifestyle choice!
